Spongostan Dental is a sterile, purified porcine gelatin foam sponge designed to promote rapid haemostasis in dental and oral surgical procedures. Each 10 mm cube works by providing a physical matrix that enhances platelet adherence and clot formation, typically stopping bleeding within 2–10 minutes.

Malleable and versatile, the sponge can be used dry or soaked in saline and cut to fit the surgical site. It is fully absorbed by the body, dissolving in 3–5 days when applied to oral mucosa, or within 4–6 weeks internally. With neutral pH, non-allergenic, and tissue-friendly properties, Spongostan Dental is safe for patients with bleeding disorders or on anticoagulant therapy. Each box contains 24 individually packed sterile sponges.
