A pre-assembled, single-use Bowie-Dick test pack designed for daily performance testing of pre-vacuum steam sterilizers. Each pack simulates the air-removal challenge of a standard textile pack using specialized porous paper layers surrounding a large, high-contrast chemical indicator sheet.

The test is performed in an empty autoclave (typically 134 °C for 3.5–4 minutes) to detect air leaks, inadequate vacuum, or non-condensable gases. A correctly functioning steriliser produces a uniform dark colour change across the indicator sheet, while uneven or spotty colour change indicates trapped air and the need for maintenance. The ready-to-use format eliminates the need for manual towel pack preparation, saving time and ensuring consistent testing.

Complies with ISO 11140-4 (Type 2 indicators) and uses non-toxic, lead-free indicator inks. Supplied as a box of 20 individually wrapped disposable packs (Product Code: BOWI2352SA). Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. The indicator sheet can be retained as a permanent record with space for date, steriliser ID, and cycle number.
